Add NFIRS data
You can also record data for National Fire Incident Reporting System (NFIRS) in FH Medic.
Note: This data is captured to complete a NFIRS report in FIREHOUSE Software,and assumes that only the basic default requirements are set for the incident type in the FIREHOUSE Software record management system (RMS).

(If you have not done so already) Add a new incident, or open an existing incident, as described Add or edit an incident.
By default, the Scene tab appears.

At the bottom of the screen, touch Times/NFIRS.
Fields for specifying NFIRS data appear.

Under NFIRS, enter data as described in Understand the interface and data entry in it.
Field Information needed Incident Type
A description of the actual situation emergency personnel found on the scene when personnel arrived.
Alarm Type
The definition of an alarm, determined at the local level.
Aid Given / Received
An indication of whether assistance was given or received from another fire department to help resolve an incident. That assistance can be in the form of personnel or equipment from one or more departments.
Property Use
A description of the type of location where the incident occurred.
Action Taken
The duties performed at the incident scene by the responding personnel.

Under Mileage, enter data as described in Understand the interface and data entry in it.
Field Information needed Mileage Beginning
The odometer reading on the unit before leaving to respond to the incident.
Mileage At Scene
The odometer reading on the responding unit when it arrived on the scene.
Mileage At Destination
The odometer reading on the responding unit when it arrived with the patient at the destination or transfer point.
Mileage Ending
The odometer reading on the responding unit when it returned to home or was ready to be dispatched for the next incident.
Loaded Miles and Total Miles are automatically calculated for you, based on the values entered in the fields above.
