Geocoding addresses in FH
To use FH Mobile Response, you must convert addresses in existing records and add any new records with more-accurate geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude), through the process of geocoding. Geocoding pinpoints locations that firehouse personnel must travel to for emergencies, inspections, and more. With geographic coordinates, the locations can then be mapped and entered into Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
You can use geocoding with the following FH records.
- Occupancy
- Incident
- Incident wildfire
- EMS
- Station lookup
- Hydrant
- Dispatch
To use geocoding, you must also install the following software packages:
- FH version 7.13.39 or later
- Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 or later
