Detail the patient's complaints

The patient's complaints are a summary of the signs, symptoms, time frames, acuity, level of distress, and more. A patient may have both a chief complaint and a secondary complaint.

  1. At the top of the page, click the Narrative tab.

    The contents of the Narrative tab appear, set to the Impressions bookmark in the left pane.

  2. In the left pane, click the Complaint bookmark.

    The right pane scrolls down to the top of the Patient Complaint section of the page.

  3. In Chief Complaint, type the statement of the problem by the patient or the history provider.
