Add a search to the Locations tab

You can use an advanced map control to initiate another search built on the original search, add another sub-tab to the Locations tab, and display the location icons in the same map.

  1. (If you have not done so already) Find the location on the map, as described in Find a location on a map.
  2. (If the button at the bottom of the tab listing the favorites displays Switch to Advanced) Click Switch to Advanced.

The Locations tab appears to the left of the map and the button at the bottom of the tab is renamed to Switch to Basic. To the right of the map, a toolbar of advanced map control options appears.

  3. In the toolbar on the right, choose Add Search → type of search.

In the Locations tab, another sub-tab appears named with a reference to the type of search you selected, and location icons for that search appear in the map. The location icons for each type of search have different colors, so you can easily tell which locations resulted from which search.

  4. (Optional) Click Switch to Basic to hide the toolbar of advanced map control options.
