Copy and paste a map's center and zoom level
You can copy the center location of a map and the map's zoom level, and then paste that information into another map.

Select the tab of the map you want to copy the center location and zoom level from.
Example: Below is a map you will copy the center location and zoom level from.

Do one of the following.
- Choose Go → Tools → Map Commands → Copy/Paste/Bookmark → Copy Map Center.
- (Premium) On the Main ribbon, click Copy/Paste/Bookmark → Copy Map Center.

Select the tab of the map you want to paste some or all of the copied information into.
Example: Below is a map you will paste information into.

Depending on how much information you want to paste into the selected map, choose either of the following.
Paste only the center location of the copied map-
Do one of the following.
- Choose Go → Tools → Map Commands → Copy/Paste/Bookmark → Paste Map Center.
- (Premium) On the Main ribbon, click Copy/Paste/Bookmark → Paste Map Center.
The map you selected redraws to use the center location of the map you copied from, but preserves the zoom level of the selected map.
Example: The map has panned to have the same center as the map you copied the center from.
Paste booth the center location and zoom level of the copied map-
Do one of the following.
- Choose Go → Tools → Map Commands → Copy/Paste/Bookmark → Paste Map Center/Zoom.
- (Premium) On the Main ribbon, click Copy/Paste/Bookmark → Paste Map Center/Zoom.
The map you selected redraws to use both the center location and zoom level of the map you copied from.
Example: The map has panned to have the same center as the map you copied the center from, and zoomed out to the same level as well.
