When synchronizing your FH Mobile data with the FH database, the synchronization process reached the storage tank data, paused for number of minutes, and then the following error message appeared.
(E): Error Occured during: Occupancy Sketches Synchronize
Remote data synchronization failed due to the following errors:
Access to the path 'C:\PRogram FIles (x86)\FIREHOUSE Software
Mobile\foxAttach' is denied.
![Closed](../../Skins/Default/Stylesheets/Images/transparent.gif)
If the synchronization took longer than 50 minutes, the synchronization would time out and close without displaying an error, and the synchronization did not complete. The timeout limit has been raised to 200 minutes.

In previous releases, the FH Mobile Preplan Viewer supported a Sketch viewer, but you were not able to change with the sketches in any way. Now, you can use FH Mobile Sketch to add a new occupancy, copy an existing occupancy sketch, edit an occupancy sketch, and delete a sketch. A new version of FH Sketch is available for installation on the FH Mobile installation or update dialog box.
Caution: When installing FH Sketch Mobile, on the FH Sketch Mobile Shortcut screen, clear both of the the options for shortcuts. FH Sketch Mobile is not designed to be run outside of FH Mobile, and unexpected results occur if it is.
Note: FH Mobile Sketch is optimized for use on a tablet PC, with a touch screen, and is different than the version of FH Sketch available in a desktop computer installation of FH.
To find and use the new feature, do the following.
- Start FH Mobile Inspections & Occupancies, as normal.
- Open an inspection record for an occupancy, as normal.
-
In the left navigation pane, expand FH Inspection, and then click Occupancy.
An Occupancy window appears.
-
In the left navigation pane, expand Occupancy, and then click FH Sketch.
The right pane of the Occupancy window updates, displaying a list of available sketches for the occupancy, with the first one in the list selected by default. The selected sketch appears in the area to the right of the sketch list.
-
Do one of the following.
The sketch is viewable in the preview in the Occupancy window.
Copy an existing occupancy sketch
- From the list of sketches, select the name of the one you want to copy.
-
In the lower right corner of the right pane, click Copy.
FH Mobile creates a copy of the selected sketch, and adds the name of the copied sketch to the bottom of the sketch listing. The copied sketch is named with the format
Sketch_
<OccupancyID>_
<number>, and the new sketch listing is automatically selected.Example:
Sketch_ACME000001_4
The FH Mobile Sketch window appears, displaying the selected sketch (the copy of the original sketch).
- Edit the occupancy sketch as needed, and then save your changes.
View information about an occupancy sketch
- From the list of sketches, select the name of the one you want to view information for.
-
In the lower right corner of the right pane, click Info.
The Sketch Info Detail dialog box appears. While you can not change the Modified By or Modified Date fields, you can change or add other information related to the sketch.
- In Sketch Name, specify a descriptive name for the sketch.
-
(Optional) Under Comments, add any additional information you want to display when the sketch is selected in the Occupancy window.
This information appears at the bottom of the sketch list when you select the sketch.
Tip: Click Date/Time Stamp to add date and time information to the Comments section, and click Spell Check to run a standard spelling check on the text in the Comments section.
-
(Optional) Select or clear Count Sketch Area Toward Occupancy Area to indicate whether you want FH Mobile to use the area indicated in the sketch in occupancy footage calculations.
The area in the sketch updates the information in the FH database during synchronization. If you have multiple sketches and you select the option, FH will sum the areas for all the sketches.
Example: If you have four floors of 1000 square feet each, the total area is 4000 feet.
-
(Optional) Select or clear Hide Sketch to indicate whether the sketch should be hidden in the sketch list.
In the Occupancy window, in the right pane, in the upper left corner of the preview area for sketches, there is a Show menu. Depending on your selection in this menu, the sketch list updates to display all of the sketches, only the sketches that have not been marked as hidden, or only the sketches that have been marked as hidden.
- Click OK.
You can preview the sketch in the Occupancy window, and after you synchronize the mobile database with the FH database, you can view the sketch changes in the FH desktop version as well.
