Retrieve a discarded CAD incident
When you are working in FH Medic and a prompt appears from the FH Medic CAD import process, you could choose to create a new incident, merge the incoming CAD incident with an existing FH Medic incident, or discard the incoming CAD incident. If you discarded the call and then later wish you had not, you can retrieve the discarded CAD incident and process it again.
Note: You must have an active Internet connection to retrieve a discarded CAD incident.

(If you are not at the Incidents screen) In the upper left corner of the interface, choose FH → Incidents.
The Incidents screen appears, listing all the available incidents.
- (If you plan to merge an existing incident with an incoming CAD incident) From the list, select the incident you want to merge with the incoming CAD incident.

In the upper right corner of the interface, click CAD Messages.
The CAD Incidents dialog box appears.
- In the upper right corner of the dialog box, in From previous ____ day(s), type the number of days back that you want to retrieve messages from, or select a number of days from the menu.

Click Get CAD Messages.
The list of CAD messages, both accepted and discarded, appear in the list in the dialog box.

Depending on what you want to do, do one of the following.
Create a new incident record in FH Medic from the incoming CAD incident data-
At the bottom of the dialog box, click Create NEW Record and Start Editing.
The Response tab appears, with the Incident Information sub-tab selected and populated with data from the selected CAD incident.
Merge incoming CAD incident data with an existing incident record in FH Medic-
At the bottom of the dialog box, click Merge with Existing Record.
A list of the existing FH Medic incidents that you can merge the CAD incident with appears.

Select the FH Medic incident that want to merge the CAD incident with.
The Response tab appears, with the Incident Information sub-tab selected and populated with data from the two incidents.
