3.0.3.31 Windows Release Notes
These Release Notes are for FH Medic 3.0.3.31 on Windows, supporting NEMSIS 3.0, and provide a listing of the enhancements implemented and defects resolved since FH Medic 3.0.2.22.
The following enhancements were implemented this release.
On the Summary > Signatures screen, there is now an Edit Selected button available in the lower right corner of the screen, so that you can make changes to some of the signature-related information, without having to delete and re-do the entire signature.
Example: If you create a signature, then realize you had misspelled the patient's name, you can now edit the patient name associated with the signature.
Note: The hand-written part of the signature can not be edited.
You can now add a signature to an incident without having to supply a signature or "pen drawing" in the box under Please sign here. The signature record is saved for the incident.
When specifying a list of personal protective equipment (PPE) used during an incident, you can now identify which crew members used PPE through search field or tabs that appear in the right pane.
To find this new feature, do the following.
-
On the Summary > Disposition tab, click Personal Protective Equipment Used.
The right pane populates with a blank list and several buttons.
-
In the right pane, click Add New.
A dialog box appears with several fields specific to PPE
-
Click EMS Professional (Crew Member) ID.
A Search field and keyboard, and the Common and All tabs appear in the right pane. The Common tab lists the crew assigned to the incident, and the All tab lists all the crew members in the department.
The following issues were successfully resolved this release.
On the Patient > Demographics tab, when you clicked DL Number, a numeric key pad appeared in the right pane, and you were not able to enter alphabetic characters that appeared in the driver's license number. A keyboard now appears, so that you can enter both numbers and characters.
In the upper right corner of the screen, the Quick Actions button was enabled before a primary impression had been selected on the Situation > Impression tab, and should not have been.
When you clicked Validate in an incident, a list of validation messages appeared for any fields that were missing values, or which contained values that needed corrections. When you clicked a validation message in the list, however, you were not automatically taken to the correct screen and field in FH Medic to supply or correct the value.
On the Patient > Demographics tab, in the DOB field, you could enter dates outside of the range from 01/01/1890 to 01/01/2050. This resulted in ages over 120, which are not valid.
If you entered all the required dates and times on the Response > Call Times tab, then on the Situation > Impression tab, for Onset Date / Time, you entered a date time, the following error message appeared.
Date/Times should be in order.
If you created a new incident and, on the Response > Incident Information tab, you entered data in Address and Address2, then navigated to the Patient > Demographics tab, clicked Address, and then in the right pane clicked Copy Address from Incident, the value in Address2 from the Response > Incident Information tab was not copied to Address 2 on the Patient > Demographics tab.
The following fields did not display the search capability and Common and All tabs for finding a specific crew member in the right pane.
- Events > Treatments > Medication Administration tab, the Performed By field
- Events > Procedure tab, the Procedure Crew Members ID field
- Events > Vitals tab, the Performed By field
If you created a new incident and, on the Response > Incident Information tab, you clicked Address, the Copy from Patient button did not appear in the right pane as expected.
On the Response > Incident Information tab, if you clicked Incident/Patient Disposition and selected a value from the list in the right pane, a blue sphere appeared on the selected value before FH Medic prompted you to enter the data for the next field. If you entered data for the other fields and then returned to Incident/Patient Disposition, the value you had selected earlier did not always display the blue selection indicator (sphere) as expected.
On the Incident screen, if you selected an incident and clicked Copy Incident to New, not all fields from the Call Times tab of the selected incident were copied to the new incident.
In a number of date/time fields, if you entered a valid value in the date/time text box in the right pane, clicked Clear, then clicked Enter, the value in the date/time field became / / : :
, which caused the validate functionality to error out.
In the following tabs, crew members that had been designated as inactive on the FH Medic administration web site appeared in the list of crew members you could select from.
- Events > Vitalstab, Performed By field
- Events > Treatments > Medication Administered, Performed By field
- Events > Treatments > Procedure, tab, Procedure Crew Members ID field
- Events > Airway, tab, Date/time Airway Device Placement Confirmation field
- Summary > Disposition tab, Crew Member ID field
