2.2.2.0 Windows Release Notes
These Release Notes are for FH Medic 2.2.2.0, and provide a listing of the defects resolved and enhancements implemented during this release.
The following enhancements were implemented this release.
When you are working in FH Medic and a prompt appears from the FH Medic CAD import process, you could choose to accept the call, start a new ticket, discard the call, and so forth. If you had discarded a CAD ticket when it initially came in to FH Medic, you can now have the ability to retrieve the discarded call.
To find this new feature, do the following.
-
(If you are not at the Incidents screen) In the upper left corner of the interface, click the FH logo, and then choose Incidents.
- (If you plan to merge an existing incident with an incoming CAD incident) From the list, select the incident you want to merge with the incoming CAD incident.
-
In the upper right corner of the interface, click CAD Messages.
The CAD Incidents dialog box appears.
Information about the Incidents list is available in the FH Medic User's Guide, Retrieve a discarded CAD incident.
A new Address column now appears in the Incidents list, and displays the address information separately from the information in the Description column.
To find this new feature, do the following.
-
Log in to FH Medic as normal.
On the Incidents list that appears, the new Address column appears.
Information about the Incidents list is available in the FH Medic User's Guide, Add or edit an incident.
FH Medic now offers more reasons for a medic to select from, to indicate why a patient is unable or unwilling to sign a patient care report.
To find the new feature, do the following.
- Begin a new incident, or open an existing incident, as normal.
- Click the Summary tab, and then click the Signatures sub-tab.
-
On the right side of the interface, click Patient Unable or Unwilling to Sign.
The Patient Unable or Unwilling to Sign Reason dialog box appears, with a new Choose Reason button replacing the three buttons that listed reasons the patient might not sign.
-
Click Choose Reason.
The new Select Reason dialog box appears, listing the three reasons that used to appear in the previous dialog box, as well as a wide range of reasons the patient might not sign.
You can now have the medic's certification number automatically added to your patient care reports (PCRs).
To use this new feature, email support@firehousesoftware.com with your request to have a certification number added to your PCR.
The following issues were successfully resolved this release.
On the Response > Incident Narrative tab and on the Summary > Narrative > Medic Narrative tab, if you clicked Check Spelling, the Add button was disabled in the Check Spelling dialog box that appeared. The Add button is now enabled, and you can add words to the dictionary.
If you changed the outcome of an existing patient record to a multiple-patient refusal record, you were prompted to clear the patient information. When you validated the record, the dashes and parentheses did not clear from the patient's phone number as expected, and you were prompted again to clear out patient data. The clear function now clears all the patient information.
On the FH Medic administration site, on the Configurations > FH Medic Configurations > Outcome screen, you have the ability to add outcome choices, and to make each of these options active or inactive. Active outcome options appear in FH Medic on the mobile device, on the Summary > Disposition page, when you click Outcome.
If you made an outcome option inactive on the FH Medic administration site, it still appeared in FH Medic on the mobile device, and should not have. An inactive outcome no longer appears in FH Medic on the mobile device.
In an earlier release, you could request a requirement of up to seven digits in the incident number after the year (YY-
) portion of the number. In the last update, the YY-XXXXXXX format was not enforced, and users could enter any combination of characters and digits. The requirement to use the YY-XXXXXXX format is now being enforced again.
On the Events > Treatments tab, when you click any of the treatments, a corresponding treatment page appeared. When you clicked Performed By, the Select Other User button that appeared only listed the current crew members, and you could not specify anyone else as performing the treatment. Similarly, on the Events > Vitals tab, when you clicked Performed By, the Select Other User button that appeared only listed the current crew members.
On both of these tabs, you can now specify anyone as performing a treatment.
On the Response > Incident Information tab, under Incident, when you clicked Scene Information, the Show button appears on the right. When you clicked Show, the Scene Information page did not appear, and you could not add units and other crew members at the scene. The Show button now works as expected.
On the Events > Vitals the scale value in the Level of Responsiveness field did scale value did not validate as expected.
The time for the vitals and treatments administered to the patient during the prior to arrival check-in was not validated as expected.
On the Situation > Injury tab, when the number of visible fields exceeded the amount of space in FH Medic, a scroll bar did not appear on the right, and you could not access the fields that were out of sight.
