2.2.0.0 Windows Release Notes
These Release Notes are for FH Medic 2.2.0.0, and provide a listing of the defects resolved and enhancements implemented during this release.
The following enhancements were implemented this release.
As you log into FH Medic, you are required to select a unit. By default, incidents are associated with the unit you selected; if you later log into FH Medic and select a different unit, you can not see the incidents associated with the unit selected in your earlier FH Medic session.
You can now have incidents associated with your user login instead of with a specific unit, so that regardless of which unit you select during login, you can see all the incidents that occurred during your previous logins.
To use this new feature, email support@firehousesoftware.com with your request to have incidents associated with the user login.
The human body figure and vehicle images in FH Medic have been updated with better images. Van, jet ski, and boat images have also been added for describing vehicle accidents more accurately.
To find these new features, do the following.
-
Begin a new incident, or open an existing incident, as normal.
By default, the Response tab and Incident Information sub-tab are selected.
-
Click the Situation tab, and then click the Injury sub-tab.
Fields for gathering information related to a patient's injury appear on the left side of the interface.
-
Under Injury, click MOI (mechanism of injury).
The mechanism of injury choices appear on the right side of the interface.
-
Do each of the following.
View updated car image and new jet ski and boat images-
On the right side of the interface, click MVC.
A new set of fields appear on the left side of the interface, which are specific motor vehicle crashes (MVC) and motor vehicle accidents (MVA).
-
In the upper right corner of the interface, click Vehicle Type, and then select the type of vehicle the patient was riding in when they were injured.
An image of the vehicle type appears in the box on the right side of the interface.
-
In the upper right corner of the interface, click Vehicle Type, and then select Van, Jet ski, or Boat.
The vehicle type image updates to reflect your selection.
-
The Zoll X Series is the latest cardiac monitoring device from Zoll. FH Medic can now import vitals data from Zoll X Series cardiac monitoring devices.
When you log in and then double-click on an incident that has review notes attached to it from quality assurance reviewers, the Ticket Notes dialog box automatically appears. However, once you closed this dialog box, in the past, the only way to open it again was to close and re-open the incident from the Incidents list.
Now you can reopen the Ticket Notes dialog box without re-opening the incident.
To find this new feature, do the following.
The following issues were successfully resolved this release.
If you tried to copy the incident address for the patient's home address with the steps below, only the city and state information were copied.
-
Begin a new incident, or open an existing incident, as normal.
By default, the Response tab and Information Incident sub-tab are selected.
-
Click the Patient tab, and then click the Demographics sub-tab.
Fields for specifying the patient's personal information appear on the left side of the interface.
- Scroll down through the fields until the Home Address section appears.
-
For Address 1, Address 2, in the data selection/entry area, click Copy Address from Incident.
Only the city and state information were copied.
When you create an incident in FH Medic, by default, you are the primary medic and the incident owner. If you then change the primary medic to someone else with the steps below, the ownership of the incident changes as expected, but the change is not displayed as expected in the crew list for the new primary medic.
-
Do one of the following.
- From the Incidents screen, in the upper right corner, click Change Crew.
- From any other screen in FH Medic, choose FH → Crew.
The Update Crew dialog box appears.
-
Select the crew member you want to make the primary medic, and then click Make Primary.
A keyboard appears on the screen.
-
Use the keypad to enter the password, and then click Submit.
While the change of primary medic is made internally in FH Medic, the crew list does not update to reflect the change of primary medic.
For some customers, EKG vitals data did not import as expected from Bluetooth-equipped Philips HeartStart monitors.
If you created an incident manually, and then data arrived from a CAD system on the same incident, you were prompted with the option to merge the CAD data with an existing incident or to start to create a new incident. If you elected to merge the data, the incident number, address, and date of service did not import from the CAD data as expected.
If you tried to specify a street name with the steps below, you were not able to type in the free text field that appeared.
-
Begin a new incident, or open an existing incident, as normal.
By default, the Response tab and Information Incident sub-tab are selected.
-
Under Location, click Street Name.
The right pane updates to display a free-text field and the Select Street button.
-
Click in the free-text field.
The keyboard for text entry appears as expected, but you could not enter a street name.
In a number of sub-tabs in the FH Medic interface, if you scrolled down through the list of fields on the left side, the scroll bar would immediately return to the top of the list, making it harder to enter data for fields lower on the list.
If you viewed the mileage fields with the steps below, the label text for the fields was not red to indicate that data was required in the field.
-
Click the Response tab, and then click the Call Times sub-tab.
The Responding Mileage, At Scene Mileage, At Destination Mileage, and Clear Mileage fields appear in the lower left corner of the screen. The labels for these fields should have red text to indicate that they are required, but do not.
