Mark a practice incident as a real incident
In FH Medic on the mobile computer, users can "practice" creating incidents to get familiar with using the application. Practice incidents are not included in the totals when you run a report. If a medic creates a practice incident, but then later wants to mark it as a "real" incident, you can easily convert a practice incident to a real incident on the administration site.
-
Find the practice incident you want to convert to a real incident, as described in Find an incident by date, or in Search for an incident.
In the lower left corner of the page, a Results section appears, listing all of the incidents that match the search criteria you defined. Practice incidents are highlighted in yellow.
- (If necessary) Click a column name in the title bar to sort the contents of the column from ascending to descending order, or back again.
-
Do one of the following.
View other incident details before marking the incident as a practice incident-
For the row containing the practice incident you want to mark as a real incident, click Details.
A separate web browser window opens, and the Incident Details for Incident Number page appears in it.
-
Under Actions, click Practice to Real.
The Practice to Real icon grays out, to indicate that this option is no longer available, and the Real to Practice icon activates.
