Specify field requirements for a chief complaint

You can require that the medic in the field supply specific additional information when they select a chief complaint. The fields in FH Medic on the mobile computer that correspond to the information required have red text for their label, to indicate that they are required.

  1. (If you have not done so already) Access the Configurations -> FH Medic page, as described in Configure FH Medic for the mobile computers.
  2. Click Chief Complaints.

    The Configurations -> Chief Complaints page appears.

  3. For the chief complaint that you want to require additional information for, click Field Reqs.

    A new browser window opens, and displays the Set Field Requirements for Chief Complaint page.

  4. Select the fields that you want to require the medic to fill out in FH Medic when they choose that particular chief complaint.
  5. Click Save.

    Near the top of the page, to the right of Save, the message Changes have been saved. appears.

  6. Click Close window.

    A dialog box for confirming that you want to close the window appears.

  7. Click Yes.
