Import CAD system data into FH Medic
FH Medic can import initial incident data from a CAD system, which the medic in the field can then complete with patient data. If you need this type of configuration, three more components are added to a basic FH Medic configuration.
- The CAD system, which sends incident data files to your fire department when an incident occurs.
- A folder on a computer in your network, into which the CAD system or fire department places the incident data files from the CAD system.
-
The FH Medic Integration Suite, which is installed on a computer in your department's network. The FH Medic Integration Suite checks the CAD data folder for new data files, processes the data, and then pushes it up to the FH Medic Cloud. The data is then pulled from the FH Medic Cloud to the mobile computer as a new incident, and a notification appears on the mobile computer to alert the medic that there is a new incident.
The FH Medic Integration Suite can also import FH Medic incident data into FIREHOUSE Software. Information on this configuration is available in Import FH Medic data into FIREHOUSE Software.
Note: The FH Medic Integration Suite can both import FH Medic incident data into FIREHOUSE Software, and import incident data from a CAD system. The two features are not exclusive to each other.
