7.14.19 Release Notes
These Release Notes are for Firehouse® release 7.14.19, and provide a listing of the defects resolved and the enhancements implemented during this release. The changes listed in the Release Notes apply to both FH® Standard and Enterprise editions.
The following issues were successfully resolved this release.
If you tried to change the name of the Active Directory (AD) server you are using with the steps below, the list of group names does not refresh to correspond to the AD group names on the new AD server.
Note: This issue has been resolved through changes in the user interface. Information on using the updated interface is available at

Choose Administration → Users and Security.
The Users and Security dialog box appears.

Click the Active Directory tab.
- In Active Directory Server, type the domain name the AD server resides in.
- Under Active Directory to FIREHOUSE Group Mapping, for each FH group name on the left, click the lookup button on the right and use the dialog box that appears to select an AD group name to map the FH group to.
- Click Cancel.

In Active Directory Server, change to the domain name of a different AD server.
The list of AD group names does not refresh to correspond to the new AD server.
If FH and AD are integrated, you may be prompted for your password more often than is necessary.
If you manually unlock a record in a module with the steps below, an error message appears, and all the records in the module unlock.

Open the record you want to unlock, as normal.
The dialog box appears and populates with data from the record.

Click the Other tab.
The label on the Record Lock Status button is blue and the corresponding checkbox in the Compl column is selected, indicating that the record is locked.

Click Record Lock Status.
The Record Lock Status dialog box appears.
- Clear Lock Record, and then click OK.

Save the record as normal.
All the records in the module unlock, instead of only the record you had opened and unlocked.
The following enhancements were implemented this release.
The AD feature has been expanded to let you do the following.
- Integrate with multiple domains.
- Manually link an existing FH user name to an AD user name.
- Log into FH using your AD credentials, and be prompted for which database to use.
- Prevent FH logins that are not also in AD (with the exception of FH administrators).
Note: If you had been using AD integration in the past, you now need to contact FH® technical support and request an updated FH license that activates the AD integration feature.

To find the new interface elements related to the feature additions, do the following.
- Log into FH as an administrator.

Choose Administration → Users and Security.
The Users and Security dialog box appears, displaying the Users tab..

Click the Active Directory tab.
Several options and buttons on this tab are new.

Select Integrate Active Directory with FIREHOUSE Users and Security.
The options and buttons on this tab activate, as well as options and tabs in other locations on the interface.
- Click the Users tab.

Select the name of a user account, and then click Properties.
The User Setup dialog box appears.

Click the Active Directory tab.
The fields and button on this tab are new.

- Click Close.

Choose Administration → Administrative Options.
The Administrative Options dialog box appears.

Click the General tab.
The fields on this tab have been reorganized into three sub-tabs. The Display sub-tab contains the Formatting, Spell-Checking, and Fiscal Year Begins sections. The Security sub-tab contains the Network, Multi-User, & Internal Messaging, Login Security, and Password Complexity sections.
Information on using the options on the Display and Security tabs is available in the FH online Help.
The Active Directory sub-tab is new this release.
