View the vaccine manufacturers list
Immunization is the process in which a person is made immune or resistant to an infectious disease, typically by the administration of a vaccine. Vaccines stimulate the body's own immune system to protect the person against subsequent infection or disease.
A list of manufacturers of vaccines for the immunization process is available in the PM module. The immunization manufacturers list is populated with all FDA-recognized immunization manufacturers, as-of the time of the list creation. The manufacturers in this list appear as menu options for the Manufacturer field, when you add or edit immunizations on the Settings > Immunizations screen.
While you can not add to or edit the items on the Settings > Immunization Manufacturer screen, you can disable ones that create vaccines your agency or department does not use. Disabled items do not appear as a menu option for the Manufacturer field.
Example: The manufacturers menu options you enable on the Settings > Immunization Manufacturers screen appear when you click the Manufacturer field in the PM module. |
