Work with attached cardiac files

Cardiac monitoring is a useful, noninvasive diagnostic tool to monitor the wide array of patient conditions. A cardiac file contains the data from a cardiac monitor used on a patient. These files help medical professionals detect arrhythmias, myocardial ischemia, and QT-interval measurements in real time.

In the EHR module, you can view and download cardiac monitor files attached to a patient's record.

Note: You must install the appropriate proprietary cardiac monitor or defibrillator viewer on your computer to view proprietary files.  You can view the printed/graphical image from the monitor or defibrillator from within the EHR module, without downloading it.

Information on searching for a record is available in Search for a patient record.

    In an opened patient record

    • From the menu in the upper right corner of the screen, choose Cardiac Monitor Files.
