Configure EHR

An ESO Suite user with access to the ESO Admin module can configure your EHR module to collect the data your agency or state needs for complete patient care records, and to provide the reference material needed for your agency’s clinical guidelines, treatments, and more.

  1. Determine which additional fields appear on the different tabs in the EHR module, which menu choices appear when specific fields are clicked, and what validation rules are enabled.

Information on configurations and settings that affect the EHR module is available in Configure tabs.

  2. (Optional) Upload a PDF file of your agency's protocol for patient care so that it is easily accessible to a medic creating an electronic health care record.

Information on managing your agency's protocol documentation is available in the Admin module online help, in Upload clinical guidelines.

  3. (If your agency uses cardiac monitors) Integrate the EHR module with the supported cardiac monitors, for importing cardiac data files into EHR.

Information on integrating with cardiac monitors is available in the Admin module online help, in Configure cardiac monitors.

  4. (Optional) Activate additional features that can make a medic's job more efficient in the field.

Note: These features require an Internet connection.

Information on activating additional features is available in the Admin module online help, in Activate optional features.

  5. (Optional) Choose up to 20 treatments in three different categories that your agency's medics use most frequently ("quick treatments"), and enable them for quick access in the EHR module.

The three categories of quick-treatment options are general, medication, and CPR.

Information on choosing and enabling frequently used treatments is available in the Admin module online help, in Identify quick treatments.

  6. (As needed) View information for the most recently released version of the mobile EHR app, access its release notes, and download the installation .msi file for it.

Information on the mobile EHR app is available in the Admin module online help, in Find mobile information and the installation file.
