Our brand transition completes!
Two years ago Xerox acquired Affiliated Computer Services (ACS), combining Xerox's strengths in document technology with ACS's expertise in managing and automating work processes.
Since that time, Affiliated Computer Services has marketed itself as ACS, A Xerox Company. Considering the significant progress we've made in uniting ACS with Xerox, we're now retiring the ACS brand in many areas of our services business and bringing together our services and technology portfolio under the Xerox brand.
Today, as the world's leading enterprise for business process and document management, our services-led, technology-driven company offers value to your business through the power of our innovation and the expertise of our people. And, now we're delivering the world-class technology and services you come to expect from us under one name, Xerox.
FH will continue for you, unchanged. You may notice some email addresses change from the acs-inc.com address to a xerox.com address. Shipped packages and mailings will come with the Xerox name instead of ACS as well. But don't worry, our sales and support team phone numbers, contacts, and services will continue as they have been for you.
Please accept our thanks for your business. It's something we never take for granted and are committed to earning every day.

Apply the NFIRS 2012 specification changes now!
The U.S. Fire Administration NFIRS 2012 specification changes are available now to install in two independent ways for your FIREHOUSE Software. Both options are available for departments with active FH technical support contracts.
The FIREHOUSE Software version 7.12 is available now. This full product update has the specification changes included, along with other revisions and enhancements for FH. Take a moment to review the FH 7.12 Release Notes for all the details.
Departments running FH version 7.5.30 up to version 7.11.15 have the option to install the NFIRS_Updates_2012.FHz file. This file loads the rules changes into the current FH system without performing a full FH update.
Emails have been sent to each department's primary contact with instructions for downloading and applying the FHz file to your current system. If you did not receive the email, please contact the FH technical support team at support@firehousesoftware.com to request the instructions be sent to you.

Register for the FH Forum and subscribe to your favorites
It's been several months since the initial opening of the FH Forum. During that time, hundreds of people have registered and posted multiple topics for discussion. As things are beginning to build, we're seeing the opportunity to enhance our communications to you through the forums.
During the month of April, we will construct more forums specifically for national and state specific NEMSIS issues. When new patient and demographic export definitions, or state specific NEMSIS definition files are released, we are going to post announcements in the forum for all registered subscribers to receive. And in the very near future, new forums will be introduced for FH Barcoding, FH CMS and FH Mobile Response.
A few users have had difficulty receiving forum posts once they registered, so we created an example instruction guide for you to follow, assisting you with subscribing. But if you have any problems, don't hesitate to contact us at fhdocumentation@acs-inc.com.
We encourage everyone to register for the FH Forum. Sign up now to join us!

Comments:The City of Knoxville is located along the Tennessee River with an elevation of nearly 900 ft. Knoxville is considered the gateway to the Smokey Mountains. With a heavy Scotch/Irish heritage, it's no wonder Knoxville's fire department was established on St. Patty's Day, March 17, 1885. The Knoxville F.D. staffs BLS and ALS engine companies in order to aid the citizens with the best care possible. The 98 square miles inside the city comprises of mostly single family dwellings with some high rise residential in the downtown and campus area, to one and two story commercial and multiple dwelling apartment buildings just outside of the downtown area.
Knoxville most always has four distinct seasons with a mild temperature range between 20 degrees in the coldest of Winter, to mid 90's in August and September. On any given Saturday during the Fall, Knoxville's population grows as nearly 100,000 excited fans dressed in orange pack the University of Tennessee's Neyland Stadium to see the Vols play football. Knoxville is a pleasant place to live and do business. The people here are hard working, honest, reliable and eager to help newcomers. We welcome you to come and visit. http://www.cityofknoxville.org/kfd/default.asp.
